Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home

of a wealthy family.
   The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the

mansion's guest room.
Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement.

그 부잣집 사람들은 거만하고 불손해서 그들에게 객실에서 쉬지 못하게 하고 대신 좁고 차가운 지하실에

머물도록 했습니다.

   As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw

a hole in the wall and repaired it.
  When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied,
   "Things aren't always what they seem"
  두 천사들이 차갑고 딱딱한 바닥에 잠자리를 마련하다가 그 중 나이가 많은 천사는 벽에 구멍이

뚫어져있는 것을 보았고 곧 그걸 메꾸어 주었습니다.  나이 어린 천사가 옆에서 보고 왜 그랬느냐고

물으니, 나이많은 천사가 대꾸했습니다.

 "눈에 보이는 것이 다가 아니란다."

   The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor,

but very hospitable farmer and his wife.

   After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels

sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest.
    When the sun came up the next morning the angels found

the farmer and his wife in tears.
    Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income,

lay dead in the field.

그들이 가진 아주 소박한 음식을 함께 나누고 난 후, 부부는 천사들에게 그들이 쉬어야 할 침대를

손님들에게 양보하였습니다.

 이튿날 날이 밝아 밖으로 나온 천사들은 그 농부와 아내가 울고있는 것을 보게 되었습니다.

그들의 유일한 수입원인 우유를 만들어내던 소가 간밤에 들에서 죽어있었던 것입니다.

   The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel

how could you have let this happen?
    The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused.
   The second family had little but was willing to share everything,

and you let the cow die..
어린 천사는 매우 흥분하여 화를 내며 나이 든 천사에게 어떻게 이런 일이 일어나도록 놔두었느냐고

따졌습니다.  그 거만한 부자는 모든 것을 소유했는데도 그를 도와줬으면서, 이 착한 농부는 가진 것이

아주 적지만 그 지닌 것까지도 나누려 했음에도 어떻게 그의 유일한 소유인 소를 죽게 놔두었냐는 것입니다.

   "Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied.
  눈에 보이는 것이 전부가 아닐 때가 있다니까~. 나이많은 천사가 대답했습니다.

   "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed

there was gold stored in that hole in the wall.
   Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to

share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it."
 
  "Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife I gave him the cow instead.
   Things aren't always what they seem."
 우리가 그 부잣집 지하실에 묵었을 때 그 구멍 안에 금이 숨겨져있는 것을 봤거든. 

그런데 그 주인이 하도 욕심리 많고 무례하고 자신이 받은 복을 나누려 하지 않길래 내가

그 구멍을 막아 금을 찾지 못하게 한거야.

 그리고말야.. 그 농부네가 우리에게 양보해준 침대에서 자던 날,

죽음의 천사가 그 농부의 아내를 데려가려고 왔었거든...

그래서 내가 그들의 그 착한 마음에 보답하고싶어서 아내대신 소를 내어준 거야.

눈에 보이는 것이 언제나 전부는 아니란다.

   Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things  don't turn

out the way they should.  If you have faith, you just need to trust that every out come is always to your advantage.

You just might not know it until some time later...

가끔, 바로 이렇게 일들이 예상에서 벗어나는 기막힌 형태로 우리에게 일어납니다.

만약 우리에게 믿음이 있다면 이 모든 일들은 우리의 선한 목적을 위해 발생하는 것이라는 것을 믿어야 합니다.

다만 지금 당장은 우리가 그것을 볼 수가 없더라도 말이지요.

                                  friend!!
 

   Yesterday is history.
   Tomorrow a mystery.
    Today is a gift.
   That's why it's called the present!


   -somebody is thinking of you.
    -somebody is caring about you.
       -somebody misses you
    -somebody wants to talk to you.
   -somebody wants to be with you.
   -somebody hopes you aren't in trouble.
   -somebody is thankful for the support you have provided.
   -somebody wants to hold your hand.
    -somebody hopes everything turns out all right.
   -somebody wants you to be happy.
   -somebody wants you to find him/her.
    -somebody is celebrating your successes.
    -somebody wants to give you a gift.
   -somebody thinks that you ARE a gift.
   -somebody loves you.
    -somebody admires your strength.
    -somebody is thinking of you and smiling.
   -somebody wants to be your shoulder to cry on.

   Never take away anyone's hope.  That may be all they have.
